What We Do

Habitat Home Building Program

Studies indicate that safe and decent housing is linked to the emotional, physical and social well-being of families. Kids do better in school, adults have the opportunity to increase their earning potential, and communities are strengthened when their citizens have safe and decent shelter. To help families realize their full potential, we offer a solution of landing in a home of your dreams.  Applicants must qualify based on need, ability to pay and willingness to partner.  We want you to succeed and invest in your home.

  • Simple: Our houses are modestly sized. They are large enough for the family’s needs, but small enough to keep construction and maintenance costs to a minimum.
  • Decent: We only use quality, locally available building materials. Habitat home designs reflect the local climate and culture.
  • Affordable: The labor of volunteers and partner families, efficient building methods, modest house sizes and no-profit loans make it affordable for low-income families to purchase Habitat houses.
