CONSTRUCTION

Volunteer labor at the construction site allows us to keep our building costs down and ensure that Habitat for Humanity families can afford a simple, decent place to live.

We use both skilled and unskilled volunteers at construction sites. Volunteer days generally take place on Saturdays and are dependent on the weather and number of volunteers. If you are a skilled worker and would like to be a part of a regular volunteer crew, our Tuesday crew may also be a good fit. Some areas may require prior experience.

Trade professionals are invited to volunteer your skills as a tax-deductible gift-in-kind donation to Habitat for Humanity.

Please note that Construction volunteers must be 18 years or older. Special permission and parental consent is required for 16 & 17 year olds. A release form is available under resources on this page. Please fill this out prior to arriving at the construction site.

Contact Mike Leffler, our Construction Manager, at 406-590-1248 or habitatbuild@gtfalls.com if you’d like to help at the construction site.

RESTORE

You can help at the Habitat for Humanity ResStore home improvement thrift store in the following ways: in the receiving area, on the sales floor, and/or with donation pick-ups. Additionally, you can help with deconstruction projects where we remove cabinets, appliances, sinks, etc. from homes prior to remodeling or demolition. These salvaged items are then sold at the ReStore.

No special skills are required besides a can-do, positive attitude and the ability to work well with others. Volunteers are not required to commit to specific shifts.

If you would like to help, please contact the ReStore at 406-453-2173, email habitatrestore@gtfalls.com , or simply stop by the ReStore at 401 3rd Ave South Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00am until 5:00pm.

Please note that ReStore volunteers must be 18 years or older. Special permission and parental consent is required for 16 & 17-year-olds. A release form is available under resources on this page. Please fill this out prior to arriving at the restore.
